READING FOR CHANGE
Knowledge is power
Malcolm X said “If you want to hide something from black people, put it in a book. Reading improves cognitive abilities, it expands our vocabulary, it strengthens our ability to think and reason critically, it expands our problem-solving skills that can all boost our memory.
Our Reading for Change program promotes a culture of reading and writing in Africa through our monthly events designed to promote transformative conversations about books that matter, conduct book reviews, create an opportunity to exchange books and promote reading and writing by launching clubs. Through these important steps, we aim to build a positive society.
